What kind of company is BARUNSASH?

BARUNSASH is the brand of Shinyang Chemical Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of uPVC (vinyl) window profiles. Our head office and factory are in Mado-myeon, Manse-gu, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea. Misun Sim, Founder & CEO, conceived BARUNSASH and launched it in 2017.

What products do you make?

We make single windows, double windows, balcony windows, turning doors, projected (awning) windows, split-elevation windows, school windows, panel windows, and profile accessories. Our lineup has three lines: Barun Standard, Barun Public Sector, and Barun Premium.

How do I become a dealer?

Is BARUNSASH certified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For us, certification isn’t something you earn once and forget. KS F 5602 (plastic window and door profiles), ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 are all audited every year, and we pass each audit to keep them current. Our KS certification is valid through December 11, 2027, and our ISO certifications through December 19, 2027. Our quality isn’t a one-time result. We prove it again every year. Certification details can differ by product, so send us an inquiry and we’ll provide the exact certificates and test reports.

Can homeowners buy from you or hire you for installation?

Accepted Answer

BARUNSASH manufactures the profiles that form a window’s frame. We don’t install windows ourselves. Send us an inquiry, and after a consultation we’ll connect you with a local dealer. Installation is handled by that dealer or a remodeling contractor who works with them.

Question 6

What’s the difference between a single window and a double window?

Accepted Answer

A double window has two sashes, inner and outer, so it insulates and blocks noise better than a single window. We recommend double windows where the window faces the outdoors directly. For inner room windows that already have an outer window, a single window (BF-118) is the common choice.

Question 7

Which window is right for my home?

Accepted Answer

Choose by where the window will go. For exterior windows in rooms without a balcony, use a double window (BF-235R, BF-250, etc.). For a living room extended into the balcony, use a balcony double window (BF-253RB). For seaside or windy areas, use the coastal frame (BF-246H). For hallways, stairwells, and utility rooms, use a projected (awning) window (BF-115PJ). We’ll recommend the exact product during your consultation.

What is U-value?

Accepted Answer

U-value (thermal transmittance) measures how much heat escapes through a window. The lower the number, the better the insulation. The lowest value among BARUNSASH products is 0.777, for the BF-230 double window (with low-E, argon-filled glass).

Question 9

Do you have products rated Energy Efficiency Grade 1?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The BF-230 double window (0.777), the BF-235R double-window premium frame (0.784), the split-elevation window (0.811), and the BF-250 premium double window (argon configuration, 0.998) are rated Grade 1 (Korea). The same frame can earn a different grade depending on the glass, so please look up the product code in the Window Energy Rating Table on our Resources page.

Why does the same product have several grades?

Accepted Answer

The same frame performs differently depending on the glass that goes into it, so each glass configuration is tested separately. For example, BF-230 ranges from Grade 1 to Grade 3 depending on the glass.

Will new windows reduce condensation?

Accepted Answer

A well-insulated window stays warmer on the surface in winter, so condensation is less likely to form. That said, condensation also depends heavily on indoor humidity and ventilation, so it’s a good idea to ventilate regularly along with replacing your windows.

Will it cut down outside noise?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Combining glass of different thicknesses reduces outside noise. Where noise is especially bad, we recommend a double window. For doors, we recommend a turning door, which presses tighter against the frame and locks when you lift the handle.

Can I choose the frame color?

Accepted Answer

Yes. White and black are standard, and we can also wrap the frame in any color you choose.

How much does window replacement cost?

Accepted Answer

It depends on window size, glass configuration, and site conditions, so we’ll give you pricing after a consultation. Share your area and which windows you want to replace on our contact page, and a dealer can give you a quote.

Question 15

Who do I contact if something goes wrong after installation?

Accepted Answer

For problems after installation, please contact the company that installed your windows (the dealer or remodeling contractor) for after-sales service. BARUNSASH manufactures the frame profiles, and installation is handled by the installer. If you request an inspection directly from BARUNSASH, a fee may apply.

What’s the difference between BF-230 and BF-235R?

Accepted Answer

BF-235R is a premium frame for double windows. It shares BF-230’s configuration and is used together with it. Its taller frame takes insulation a step further, so we recommend it for projects that call for a more upscale finish and better insulation.

Where can I see your catalogs and drawings?

Accepted Answer

On the Resources page of our website, you can view the catalog (2026 · VOL. 2.0), the homeowner catalog, and the technical data book right on screen. If you need a printed copy or the original files, please contact us.

Question 18

The product codes in the Window Energy Rating Table don’t match the drawing codes.

Accepted Answer

They’re the same products. The rating table uses the names exactly as written on the test reports, so the labels differ slightly. Examples: BFT-140 = BF-TD140 (turning door); BF-250RB = frame BF-253RB.

Question 19

Are you KS and ISO certified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We hold KS certification under KS F 5602 (plastic window and door profiles; PVC resin, exterior use). We are also certified to ISO 9001 (quality management systems) and ISO 14001 (environmental management systems). We also hold a Women-Owned Business Certificate and a Small and Medium Business Certificate, which can be used when supplying government agencies.

Can I get the test reports?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every grade in the Window Energy Rating Table is based on a test report from an accredited testing laboratory, and the issue date is listed in the table. Send us an inquiry with the product codes you need, and we’ll send you the reports.
