CATALOG JOURNEY · 2018 — PRESENT

Our standards,
bound into one book

Our catalog is the first thing dealers and customers see of BARUNSASH.
From our first catalog in 2018 to today’s catalog and Technical Note, here are the six books we’ve made along the way.

012018

The First Book We Opened

The first BARUNSASH catalog · ver.1 · July 2018

The year BARUNSASH first went out into the world under its own name, we made our first catalog.

Of two draft designs, we picked a cover with tangram shapes cut out of it. Through those cut-out windows, you can see the Hwaseong factory on the first page.

Inside, we laid out every BARUNSASH feature, each one born from 30 years of window installation know-how, along with cross-section drawings of our full product line.

Building on 30 years of window installation know-how,
we will grow into a leader in window technology
that is varied, practical, and efficient—just as our customers want.— First page of the 2018 catalog

BEHIND THE CATALOG · 2018

Two Drafts, One Choice

For the 2018 catalog, we laid two draft designs side by side and weighed them.
Draft A showed the view through a window; Draft B had tangram shapes cut out of the cover.
We chose B because it showed the BARUNSASH standard more clearly.

New Molds, New Test Reports

The next year brought more new molds, plus KS certification and new test reports, so we decided to redo the catalog. From mid-January on, we went through draft after draft. We even remade the printing plates just to get the names of the MC items right.

A Second Book, with Standards Added

ver.2 · Completed March 8, 2019

Work began in mid-January 2019 and wrapped up in early March. On Saturday, March 9, our sales team finally had the new catalog they’d been waiting for.

With more new molds and KS certification in hand, the biggest change was adding our KS certification, test reports, and energy efficiency grades. The cover featured a large B·R (ㅂ·ㄹ) logo, the KS mark, and the energy efficiency grade label.

For readers curious about what our factory really looks like, we used a richer, sharper photo of the company grounds. In return, we dropped the die-cut cover from ver.1.

A Catalog with a New Look

BI-refresh catalog · May 2019 · Korean & English

In 2019, Shinyang Chemical got a new corporate identity (CI) and BARUNSASH got a new brand identity (BI), so the catalog got a new look, too.

The new cover set a cube mark inside a window frame, and we redrew the cover and inside-page drafts again and again.

Inside, Korean and English ran side by side within a blue border, and at the same time we produced an English edition for overseas customers.

Windows Made Right

Consumer catalog · Dealer catalog · Folder · Business cards

Our current brand identity was finished in the winter of 2021, and in 2022 BARUNSASH finally stood on its own as a brand. That year, we rebuilt the catalog from scratch.

We designed a matched set: a consumer edition for homeowners and a dealer edition for our dealers, plus a folder and business cards. White type on black covers and three words, “Windows Made Right,” tie them all together.

The consumer edition covers our brand story and product lineup; the dealer edition covers our history, certifications, cross-sections by product, and the Window Energy Rating Table. We rewrote the dealer edition every year, correcting drawings by hand down to the last one, and that work led to Catalog 2.0 in 2026.

A Technical Note for the Job Site

BARUNSASH Technical Note · BARUNSASH TECHNICAL NOTE

If the catalog introduces BARUNSASH, the Technical Note shows how to fabricate and install BARUNSASH windows correctly.

Its 41 pages cover window basics, energy-saving design standards, energy efficiency grades by product, cross-sections and assembly drawings by product, reinforcement insertion standards, fabrication precautions, and material handling.

We first published it in 2024 and shared it with dealers and job sites. You can page through the full version in Resources on this website.

Done Right, Starting with the Structure You Can’t See

Dealer catalog 2026 · VOL. 2.0 · Paper holder

When we launched Website 2.0 in 2026, we remade the dealer catalog, too. We carried over the company story, history, and product information from the website so the screen and the page say the same thing.

We cut the inside pages from 42 to 26 and made every product name and code match the drawings exactly. We checked the Window Energy Rating Table against the test reports line by line, added the issue dates, and put a QR code on every page that links straight to Resources and the Window Energy Rating Table on our website.

The cover has no image—just three lines on deep navy. Open the paper holder, and the first thing you see is the line “Done right, starting with the structure you can’t see.” Only when you slide the catalog out does “Windows Made Right” appear.
